Design competition
06 June 2013
Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) has launched its first forklift design competition for European design students and 2013 graduates under the coordination of the TMHE Design Center.
This year’s theme is ‘Tow Tractors: Industrial Machines in Need of a Makeover’.
"We want participants to be inventive, original and daring in their creation of the tow tractor. We would like
them to concentrate on the aesthetic value, but also consider today’s material handling challenges such as
sustainability. The end product must reflect the Toyota heritage and our core product values: Safety,
Durability, Productivity, Driveability and Simplicity,” says Magnus Oliveira Andersson, head of design
center at Toyota Material Handling Europe.
Imagination and effort come with a reward. TMHE is offering up to €4000 to the most original and
innovative entry. Registration closes on 14th September 2013.
