Walkie Reach range
16 August 2013
Known for its 4-way forklifts, sideloaders and Straddle Carrier, Combilift has now launched its Combi-WR and multidirectional Combi-WR4 'Walkie Reach' pedestrian trucks.

Incorporating the benefits of AC technology in its traction, pump and steering motors, the WR models have a lift height of 4.2m and a load capacity of 1450kg. With electronic power steering, pantograph and side shift functions, the pedestrian reach stacker range can work in an aisle-width of 2m pallet to pallet.
The multi-position tiller has push button rotation of the rear wheel parallel to the chassis for placing and picking in the aisle. The operator can remain at the side of the truck rather than at the rear, improving forward visibility. To rotate the rear wheel parallel to the tiller the operator merely needs to push the button again. The 2-speed operation is controlled by a rabbit/turtle switch, and speeds can be adjusted or customised to suit the level of the operator’s experience.
Martin McVicar, Combilift MD, says: "We developed our first pedestrian trucks in response to feedback from back of store retail operations and the DIY sector for a smaller unit for handling lighter loads. In areas where the general public or employees may be present, these models offer a very safe way of handling pallets as well as longer loads in confined areas."
