New strapping machines go on show
30 September 2013
Gerd Mosca AG showcased two new strapping machines at this year’s FachPack in Nuremberg.

Based on a modular design, the Mosca LCU (low-cost unitiser) pallet packing press is suitable for many different industries and can easily be integrated into new or existing production lines. It straps pallets in parallel and features two strap positions, two strap guide frames, and two SoniXs ultrasonic sealing units.
The LCU can operate flexibly at different conveyor heights and offers sealing unit spacing of 440 or 625mm. Euro pallets can be double strapped horizontally or vertically. Add-on feeding mechanisms are available and can be easily installed. The LCU can also be specified with an optional strap welding unit. By using a friction seal in movement direction, the newly-developed BSG-3 generates endless straps, which minimises both strapping system processing and downtime.
Also new, the EVOLUTION SoniXs TR-6 is the company's first machine class 3 model, with CE marking and a harmonised Standard-6 strap path. Cleaning and maintenance of the machine are simple, fast and efficient due to its open, accessible design.
According to Mosca CEO Timo Mosca, "Different package options are available and we tailor the machine specifically to the needs of our key industry customers in the pharmaceutical, printing, paper and logistics sectors. The CE marking means that our customers can integrate the unit into any production line that does not present any hazards at its inlet or outlet without any additional safety measures. This is a real advantage."
