Enhancements to head protection
22 April 2014
Scott Safety has enhanced its range of head protection, introducing a new ratchet size adjustment option across its safety helmet range so that workers can enjoy greater comfort, stability and safety.

The new ratchet safeguards against accidental adjustment; its push and turn operation ensures that loss of tension cannot occur. The new design can be easily adjusted with one hand, without removing the helmet from the head.
Users can easily tighten or loosen the helmet for improved comfort or stability as and when the head expands and contracts, usually during periods of high intensity work. Offering a size adjustment of between 50 and 64cm, the new design also permits easy operation with gloved hands.
The new safety ratchet helmet headgear has been enhanced to improve stability by shaping the ratchet beneath the occipital bone. All day comfort has also been improved through the addition of a foam comfort pad, enabling the ratchet to be tightened securely without over clamping the head.
