Powering expansion plans

The contract comprised the supply of a 90kW variable speed HPC compressor, a 55kW fixed speed HPC compressor with integral heat exchanger, an HPC energy saving refrigerant dryer, 5000L receiver and filtration, free standing heat exchanger, plus all necessary mechanical installation of pipework using 3in galvanised tubing. Moulded Foam will also take out a 5 year service contract covering all the equipment. 

David Davies, Moulded Foams’ plant manager said: “Thorite recommended the HPC machinery and everything is performing very well. The compressors drive 12 EPS moulding machines and I’m confident that by specifying the latest technology models we will soon be benefitting from significant energy and cost savings, particularly as the heat exchangers now enable us to harvest the hot air produced by the compressors and use it to heat our product drying facility, with the added bonus of a reduced carbon footprint.”
