Reliability in challenging conditions
05 October 2016
In order for forklifts to be reliably charged outdoors in the wind and rain or in any other dirty environment, Fronius has developed a special housing for its Selectiva 8kW and 16kW chargers. Certified to IP54, the new housing shields the sensitive electronics, providing effective protection against dust and spray water from all directions.

Thanks to an extensive range of accessories, the charger housing can be individually adapted to the prevailing conditions in each operating scenario. All of the charger functions can be operated from afar via a remote control system with display, while an external LED strip clearly signals the state of charge of whichever battery is attached.
A spring balancer ensures optimum cable management by preventing cables lying on the ground from becoming a trip hazard or from being damaged by other vehicles. The IP54 charger housing is also available in stainless steel on request.
