Bespoke cooling solutions

Technotrans is expanding rapidly through organic growth and acquisition and has enjoyed success in sectors as diverse as printing, medical, transport and security. Recent exhibitions have opened up further opportunities in digital advertising, metal 3D printing/additive manufacture, industrial weed control and server and cabinet cooling. 

Companies within the technotrans group include:

• Termotek which specialises in the cooling of smaller laser products
• KLH which specialises in the larger laser applications
• GWK, the most recent acquisition, is an expert in temperature control for plastics industry applications and can even supply complete cooling plants, for example in the food and chemical industries 

Technotrans works in partnership with OEMs, designing effective and efficient bespoke cooling solutions for their specific needs. The requirements vary greatly but typically involve tailored solutions with a cooling capacity from 150W up to 1.5MW, all manufactured at group production facilities, four of which are in Germany, one in the US and one in China. The company offers air- and water-cooled solutions, both active and passive. There are many compressor options and technotrans can advise which to select, taking into account the cooling capacity, physical size, power supply, noise and price. The group is on target for a turnover of about Euro195m this year.
