GSM’s progression of digital printing
23 September 2022
GSM GRAPHIC Arts embraced the leap into the digital revolution and became industry leaders in digital printing onto metal and plastic substrates.

Now in the 21st century, our commitment to being at the forefront of digital printing continues. We invest heavily in the research and development of our digital printing process and in turn this advises of machine upgrades that are available along with technological advances within the print industry. This coupled with the training of our employees ensures we can manufacture the highest quality and durable digitally printed labels.
Recently, we have researched and expanded the range of materials that we can digitally print on to. As mentioned, to guarantee the durability and quality of our labels we put much time into the research and development to ensure there is no compromise on quality.
We have developed the manufacturing processes used when we print onto plastics to enable us to print onto many vinyl, polycarbonate and polyester substrates. To ensure durability polyester and polycarbonate are reverse printed so that the clear material protects the ink from damage. Digitally printing means that we can incorporate multi-coloured logos and photographic imagery onto labels and overlays.
Digitally printing both Polycarbonate and Polyester substrates enables GSM to economically offer prototype and low volume runs of both labels and control panel overlays incorporating embossed switch pads, transparent windows and leds, thereby replicating full production parts without incurring high set-up costs.
