Asset management in hazardous areas
29 September 2020
A POWERFUL tablet computer from Endress+Hauser allows a mobile workstation to be created in the field – even in Ex Zone 2 areas.
Standard laptops are often used in industrial plants for commissioning and maintaining instruments, but they can’t be used in potentially explosive environments. Endress+Hauser’s Field Xpert SMT70 offers a solution.
Store your device data centrally
The SMT70 comes pre-installed with device configuration software and over 3000 device drivers, so you can use it straight out of the box. The tablet works with virtually every modern field instrument and can connect to Endress+Hauser devices via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It’s compatible with Heartbeat Technology to carry out inline verification and you can also partner your Field Xpert with the Netilion Library service to automatically upload configuration reports, pictures and device data and share files with your team.
Remote support
For support with commissioning, troubleshooting or maintenance, you can use the SMT70 and GoTo Assist software to allow an Endress+Hauser technical expert to access the instrument configuration remotely, just as if they were present on site.
