Salt spreading solutions

Contact Attachments is working with customers to help ensure they are fit to operate effectively through the winter by providing forklift-compatible and pedestrian-operated salt spreaders and gritters.

A 190kg capacity Forklift Towable Salt Spreader tows behind vehicles with a standard ball hitch or towing pins, helping companies with warehouses, large sites and depots to stay safe and free from potentially hazardous ice and snow.
A 50kg capacity pedestrian-operated salt spreader can be used by just one person and is suitable for smaller applications such as carparks, driveways, walkways and access areas. A versatile gritting machine, it can also be used for grass and seed spreading.
Dave Manuel, technical sales director at Contact Attachments, says: “Every year many organisations struggle to remain operational and safe when the temperature has dropped and there is snow and ice on the ground. Without the necessary equipment in place, organisations can often find themselves at a standstill and having to halt production, potentially impacting on their earnings over the winter period.
“However, our range of winter products are designed to help those running businesses to remain operational where possible and ensure safe working conditions for their staff. Our Pedestrian Salt Spreader is becoming an increasingly popular cost-effective option for businesses because it doesn’t require anything other than a capable person to operate it.
“We’ve also launched our dedicated Winter Kit complete with one push-along snow plough, one pedestrian salt spreader, and three bags of 20kg white rock salt so companies can be even more prepared.”
