A self-contained Hodge Clemco blast
room with high-performance sound
insulation and abrasive recovery
system has expanded the in-house
production capabilities of Cheshire
Anilox Technology, a leading
manufacturer of high-quality rollers
for printing presses.
The blast room enables Cheshire Anilox to prepare the rollers for surface coating in the factory. The chamber measures 4.5m long x 2.5m wide x 2.5m high and has double access doors at one end to allow large components to be moved in and out easily. Double-skinned panels with an acoustic lining have been used for the construction, which greatly reduces the noise that can be heard outside the chamber when blasting is taking place.
