The adhesive left behind after the removal of sheet vinyl and tiles, carpet and old flooring systems has always been a problem for flooring contractors. If standard grinding accessories are used, they generate surface heat which makes the adhesive soft and sticky, resulting in clogging and frequent stops.

To solve this, The Preparation Group has introduced a brand new range of highly efficient polycrystalline diamond (PCD) discs and shoes that scrape rather than grind, without generating surface heat. The PCD's cutting edges remain clear with adhesive being continuously rolled up and ejected for easy disposal.

The new PCD discs consist of a cup disc on to which fit interchangeable outer PCD (polycrystalline diamond) rings. Highly effective, this accessory not only offers time savings but also considerable cost savings and less wastage, claims the company.
