Showroom success

15 December 2014

Since setting opening its new showroom in June, ETG Ireland has already sold three Nakamura-Tome twin-spindle, multi-turret turning centres.

One of these machines, an NTY3 250, is an advanced three turret machine which has just been installed at THK in Dublin. The machine is the second largest Nakamura turning centre ever sold by ETG and has an automatic gantry for loading and unloading. It will be used to make precision ball-screw nuts from billets in one operation.

The two other machines, WT-150 twin-turret, twin-spindle turning centres are destined for leading subcontractors, Derry Precision in Northern Ireland and Slaney Precision in County Wexford.

ETG Ireland director and general manager Jamie Fletchmoore said: "We are very pleased with the success we have had with these sophisticated world-class machines, and especially proud that the second biggest ever Nakamura sold by ETG is going to Southern Ireland”.

"We have hit the ground running since opening our new showroom in June and with the introduction of our own service engineer who started in March, we have had a very positive response from our customers.

"Recently we took on a young applications engineer with very good software skills, strengthening our support not only to the machines we sell but also to include our software. From our new training facility in Newbridge, we can offer Mastercam, Hiedenhain, Fanuc and G-Code courses to suit all levels of experience”.

ETG Ireland is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Engineering Technology Group with its own dedicated sales, service, applications and service team based at a new showroom and administration centre in Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
