Health check for pumps
16 January 2018
According to Grundfos, older pumps not only consume too much energy, they are also prone to failure that can adversely affect a business and its maintenance budget. The result of replacing them with new, energy-efficient pumps, is reliable, low-cost operation.

For example, following a Grundfos Energy Check, a large office building in central London replaced obsolete pumps with new, energy-efficient models. The pumps now operate to meet actual demand, and are delivering a saving 318,000kWh/year after the company followed through on recommendations received following a Grundfos Energy Check. This amounts to a saving of £30k p.a., a large reduction in CO2 emissions and payback of just 2.8 years.
Grundfos says typically it can achieve savings of 30 to 50% for customers with an Energy Check and by pointing the way towards the optimal pump replacement. Further benefits include reliable operation, reduced downtime and reduced repair costs.
