PV system solution for energy self-sufficient systems
08 January 2025
PHOENIX CONTACT is introducing a PV panel-based housing solution with several performance classes up to 190 Wp. The POS (Pico Off-grid System) includes a water- and impact-protected plastic housing, a stainless steel pole mount, and a solar panel.

Computers, communication units, batteries, and more can be added to create self-sufficient solutions for field use.
With the robust housing that withstands extreme weather conditions and a stainless steel pole mount, this system is a reliable and durable solution for providing energy in remote areas and demanding environments. The self-sufficient PV system uses the energy of the sun for the power supply. The PV panel is connected with Sunclix PV connectors. With the combination of high-quality monocrystalline solar panels and a resistant housing, the system is particularly suitable for use in remote regions. For example, it can be used for environmental data acquisition, in industrial environments with high requirements, and in many other applications.
Due to significantly increased air clearances and creepage distances, the current measuring transducers operate reliably even at high altitudes of up to 4,000 meters. The supply voltage range of 9.6 to 30 V DC ensures stable operation, even in highly fluctuating networks.
