Machine safety range added to solutions provider’s offering
25 August 2020
A comprehensive range of critical machine-safety devices from Pilz is now available from RS Components, including compact and versatile PNOZsigma safety relays and PSEN opII4H light curtains for enhanced worker protection.
RS Components says the PNOZsigma safety relays are ideal for monitoring E-STOP, safety gates and light barriers. The relays come in narrow housings, offering maximum functionality in minimum width, and are easy to install and maintain, according to the company.
PSEN opII4H light curtains are said to provide added protection for machine operators’ hands, in line with the EN/IEC 61496-1/-2 standard. RS Components adds that the new Pilz portfolio also includes PSEN transponder safety non-contact switches.
Kristian Olsson, vice-president of Industrial Automation and Control at RS, said: “We position workplace safety at the top of our list of priorities and aim to offer our customers a full selection of the devices they need to operate industrial plant and machinery safely. The close partnerships we have with well-respected, specialist safety equipment manufacturers like Pilz mean that we can offer our customers a full range of workplace safety solutions to protect not only their people but also all of their critical equipment. The result is fewer accidents and a reduction in production downtime.”
