Dublin venue for CIBSE ASHRAE event
05 November 2013
The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineer (CIBSE) has announced that the CIBSE ASHRAE Technical Symposium 2014: ‘Moving to a New World of Building Systems Performance’ will be held at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) 3rd-4th April 2014.
The event is aimed at building services industry practitioners and students across the building services industry.
CIBSE President George Adams said: "The CIBSE ASHRAE Technical Symposium is an exciting two-day event which tackles a fascinating range of cutting edge subjects. It is an opportunity for members and industry experts to share knowledge on and debate important issues in the built environment, such as the adaptation of cities to the impact of population growth and climate change."
The fourth annual technical symposium aims to encourage the participation of researchers and practicing engineers to share experiences and develop networks. Young engineers, both students and those early in their careers, are particularly encouraged to attend.
The event is supported by Future Cities Catapult, reflecting a key aim of the event which is to improve building performance of cities in changing conditions. With population and temperatures rising, buildings need to be resilient while saving energy due to low resources and high demands.
