Heat-treatment furnaces
23 January 2015
The creation of Carbolite-Gero in Neuhausen, Germany, at the beginning of 2015 provides companies operating heat-treatment processes with a single highly qualified source of equipment in the UK.

The Carbolite-Gero models increase the temperature range up to 3000°C in vacuum or air and in inert or reactive gases and can be ordered directly through the Carbolite UK office.
Carbolite, a manufacturer of electrically heated ovens and furnaces, produces equipment operating up to 1800°C for use in sectors such as aerospace, ceramics, metals, mining, pharmaceuticals, electronics, composites, nuclear and materials science. A wide range of standard models is supplemented by custom-built equipment to meet customers’ specifications, and the addition of Carbolite-Gero products extends the temperature range available up to 3000°C.
The Carbolite-Gero range includes high-temperature furnaces for academic and industrial research as well as for small-scale specialised production applications. To achieve up to 3000°C, this equipment uses molybdenum, graphite or tungsten heating elements, depending on the application. Some models have elements without fibre insulation, which allows optimum process atmosphere or final vacuum.
