Sensor specialist sets up new safety division
25 August 2020
Machine safety sensors developer Leuze has created a dedicated safety division called ‘Safety at Leuze’ as part of its mission to be a reliable partner for efficient safety sensor solutions for the entire life cycle of machines and systems.
‘The sensor people’, as the company refers to itself, say they have always been a forerunner in safety at work, having developed the very first protective sensor. Today, Leuze offers a wide range of safety services and solutions, including switching and measuring sensors, identification systems, data-transmission and image-processing solutions, and machine safety components and systems. It works primarily in intralogistics, packaging, machine tools, the automotive industry and laboratory automation.
The company says its professional safety consultants will assess the requirements for each individual safety solution and tailor them to the respective system layout, following the project all the way through to safety-related approval of the solution on-site. It adds that there are more than 1,200 ‘sensor people’ around the world, working from its technological competence centres or in one of 20 sales companies supported by more than 40 international distributors.
