Filter cleaning range extended
27 June 2016
An all-in-one flexible cleaning solutions range for dust collector valve systems has been extended with the introduction of a smaller, more compact model by IMI Precision Engineering.
The new addition to the Flex-on filter cleaning system is the 85880 model, an adaptable modular solution which integrates seamlessly with dust collector valve systems and is said to allow users to reduce the overall costs of industrial dust collector systems. Holding an inspection certificate for Category 1 of the Pressure Equipment Directive, the smaller model meets the same safety and performance criteria of the larger 85890 system.
Designed for valve sizes to DN 25 in diameter and based on a maximum aluminium tank size of 2000mm long and 75mm wide, the durable and non-corrosive tank is resistant to dirt and dust making it suitable for hygienic and high-care applications such as food manufacturing. The system can be used for pulse cleaning as well as compressed air cleaning, thanks to the different valve characteristics on offer which lead to a system geared fully to individual requirements.
Integrated filter valves are said to ensure quick response times, high pressure peaks and exceptional flow, while quick open/close times are achieved through the use of IMI Precision Engineering TPE diaphragms. Compressed air consumption and operating costs are reduced, making the Flex-on filter cleaning system an efficient choice.
The system is able to perform across a temperature range of -40 to +80°C without pressure loss, with an operating pressure of 0.4 to 8 bar. Depending on the application, the system can not only be equipped with dust collector valves and blow tubes, but with a control box or peripheral equipment – including supply and drainage valves, pressure gauges or measuring lines.
