Vibration free hand tools

01 April 2017

One of the biggest issues when using hand tools for engraving, polishing or deburring is vibration and the subsequent problems causing white finger syndrome for the operator and health and safety issues for the management.

With the wide variety of hand tools on the market at a wide variety of prices, it’s surprising how little attention is paid to this problem. Hand tools are very often bought on price yet Rainford Precision, the UK distributor for Air Turbine hand tools, says it has customers who have hand tools over 13 years old which are still being used daily.

Equally hand tools can be found with decibel readings advertised at 85dBA which are above the legal limit. All Air Turbine hand tools are available below 65dBA thus ensuring a degree of comfort for the operator.

The lightweight and virtually maintenance free Air Turbine hand tools are available with speeds from 25,000 to 90,000 rpm and power from 0.2 to 1.4 hp with 12 different models.
