Composite drills: Covering every angle
27 June 2018
A new range of composite drills is available from Chicago Pneumatic. The range covers ¼, 3/8 and ½in and speeds are from 600 to 3300 rpm depending on model.

These are powerful, efficient drills; the ½ and 3/8in deliver 0.5hp and the ¼in delivers 0.3hp.
In line with Chicago Pneumatic's design philosophy, they comprise high quality components and the drills are offered as standard with either keyed or keyless Jacobs chucks to provide a high level of grip on the working drill bit, offering precise drilling performance.
The company regards operator comfort as an essential when using its tools. The range has thermoplastic rubber handles to provide a firm and comfortable grip and all models feature the Chicago pneumatic Ergo Wing design to ensure the operators wrist and hand are aligned for efficient transmission of force; it helps guide the user’s forefinger for greater position and precision.
The ergonomic design has the reverse lever located on top, making it easy to operate forward and reverse to facilitate drilling or reaming. A directional exhaust steers exhaust air away from the user's face during operation.
The range includes the CP9789C Pistol Grip ½in reversible 600rpm, the CP887C In Line 3/8in reversible 2100 rpm and the CP879C angle drill 3/8in reversible 2000 rpm.
